Am Web Markets-Has reviewed plenty of web hosting companys & has experienced the ups & downs of this process. What do i need to know about hosting company's & what features do i need? Some terms that we will be discussing *Virtual Hosting -Virtual hosting is a method that servers such as web servers use to host more than one domain name on the same computer, sometimes on the same IP *Shared Hosting -A shared web hosting service or virtual hosting service or derive host refers to a web hosting service where many websites reside on one web server connected to the Internet. Each site "sits" on its own partition, or section/place on the serverto keep it separate from other sites. This is generally the most economical option for hosting as many people share the overall cost of server maintenance. *Dedicated Hosting-A dedicated hosting service, dedicated server, or managed hosting service is a type of shared hosting in which the client leases an entire server not shared with anyone. *Dedicated Ip Addresses-you should have one this makes it a lot easier to maintain your website & is good for secure retail sites(a dedicated ip will generally cost more but you should get one! *Msyql-An open source relational database management system/you will want this if your are running oren source software like Joomla! *phpMyAdmin- is an open source tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the World Wide Web What is important is speed and great customer service! becuase if you are a beginer you are going to have lots of questions and not all comoany's are going to be willing to help you or are even capable. Also if you are hosting a website somewhere and you are not happy with your hosting, some hosting company's are willing to help you transfer them for free! How much should hosting cost? This depends on what type of web site you are going to run social network, Ecommerce store, Blog, Etc. *eccomerce store about 19.99 & you will need to purchase a secured website certificate that will run you about $79.99 *Social Network cost should start at $19.99 and once you start to grow most likley you will need a dedicated server. *Personal Will cost you about $12.00 a month
